FAQ

I don't even know where to start. What are the considerations when choosing?
1. Consider the size of the army the case is for!

  • For small skirmish games like Infinity, Blood Bowl, Frostgrave, Kill Team, Warcry, etc. then you typically only NEED a single case, which is sufficient to hold anywhere from 10-40 28mm (or even 32mm) scale infantry models as well as your dice, tokens and measuring tools.
  • or larger games like 40k, Age of Sigmar, Warhammer The Old World, Conquest, etc, you may need a back2back case, which is two cases connected together and can hold anywhere from 40-120 28mm (or even 32mm) scale infantry models (depending on size!).

In either case, consider the composition of the units you are going to be carrying. Cavalry, heroic models and monsters take up quite a bit more space!

2. Estimate how many models you're transporting and the base sizes you need. Most of our trays are tied to the base diameter, and this greatly affects how many models each tray will hold. A good, general rule of thumb is as follows:

  • 25mm units - our slide lock trays can hold approximately 35 models
  • 28mm units - our slide lock trays can hold approximately 35 models
  • 32mm units - our slide lock trays can hold approximately 24 models
  • 40mm units - our slide lock trays can hold approximately 12 models
  • Cavalry units are best (IMO) magnetized and transported in a magnetic tray. We have both trays with no sides and trays with sides.

3. Once you know how many models you have and the tray breakdown, plan for additional models IF you can. We all know you're as addicted to the plastic crack as we are, so plan accordingly.

4. Consider accessory transportation. Does your army use a lot of tokens and dice? Consider one of the trays being used to store these. We have a variety of trays designed to fit the stock tokens of many of the larger games out there.

5. What other accessories should you consider?

  • Dice Cup for storing your dice in their own container
  • Unit cards? We have accessories that accomodate 6x4", 5x7", Tarot-sized, and regular American TCG size (Magic: The Gathering, Pokemen, etc.) sized cards
  • Tokens or objective markers? We have several small accessories for tokens, objective markers, and even score keeping implements for several of the most popular games.

6. Choose your material and color combination: We can print in PLA, PETG, or ABS plastic. Each has its pros and cons (see details below). We can also print in other colors (not listed here) such as rainbow filaments, multicolor, etc. NOTE: Because of the way these are printed, do not expect to see the awesome gradients that you get when looking at some filaments on Amazon! Because of the way the layers are laid down on the plate, this may not be possible.

7. Take advantage or bundles or discount pricing for buying the case and accessories all at once.

8. These are print on demand, so we do not have inventory readily on hand and will be printing your case on order. Note that it can take anywhere from 1-3 days to print everything (depending on what you've ordered), and we ship as soon as we're able to finish the order.

9. Lastly, anytime you have questions or want to communicate with us, use the email sales@mythicgames.shop to reach us. This may be to ask if we can do a custom color combination not listed, or some other customization you'd like, and we'll do our best to accommodate you!

Geeky details: Our cases are 3d printed on Bambu FDM printers using PLA (silk, metallic, matte) with an infill of 17% and a .20mm layer height.

What options are available in the War-ganizer Case product line?

All cases below (but for the Bambu edition) are available for order:

What are the key differences between PLA, PETG and ABS when it comes to printed materials?

Here’s a concise comparison table for PLA, PETG and ABS filament properties:

Property PLA PETG ABS
Strength & Durability Low Moderate High
Impact Resistance Low (prone to cracking) Moderate Excellent
Temperature Resistance Low (deforms easily) Moderate High (up to 100°C)
Flexibility Brittle Some flexibility Flexible

Bottom line: Choose PLA if you plan to never leave your case and accessories in a hot car, PETG for durability and heat resistance, but ABS if you really want maximum protection!

How quickly do you ship?
Because these cases are made to order, turnaround time to print, pack and ship your order is currently approximately 5 days or less. Please factor that in with shipping times to ensure we deliver your order in line with your needs.

Do you support custom color choices or different color schemes?
We will certainly try to! If you have a specific color combination your interested in, please reach out to us via  to discuss. We will do our best to make a case or accessories that let you show off your particular style!

I've seen cases with custom logos. Can you do that?
In many instances, we can support custom logos if you provide the image in a usable format. However, we must respect trademarked and copyrighted images, as we don't want the GW IP Police sending us letters.
